What is Rolfing?
Rolfing Structural Integration is the work of Dr. Ida P. Rolf and her postulate that harmonizing one’s body in gravity invites natural healing. It is a system of gentle soft tissue manipulations and guided movements that repositions the body’s fascia into a more harmonious relationship with gravity. Fascia, the connective tissue of the body, is the organ of posture. It surrounds, penetrates, and supports all muscles, nerves, bones and organs. Rolfing restores the fascial system to its natural positions, lengths, and elasticity thus evoking the innate Health from within.
